Summary
We’re recruiting experienced Pipefitters for the Hinkley Point C nuclear new build project in Somerset. Salary : Rates in line with the ECSA agreement, including overtime premiums.
Location and Working Pattern : Hinkley Point C, Somerset – fully site-based
- Shift pattern:
• Monday–Thursday: 07:00–17:00
• Friday–Sunday: 06:45–15:13 - Rotation: 10 days on / 4 days off
- Approx. 50 hours per week with overtime options
- Accommodation allowance and retainers available
- Additional daily travel, bus, and park-and-ride allowances

Responsibilities- Interpret and apply technical drawings and specifications to plan and complete pipefitting tasks.
- Install, assemble, and test pipework systems to meet stringent project and regulatory standards.
- Inspect installed pipework for quality, integrity, and compliance.
- Adhere to all safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
- Participate in toolbox talks, daily briefings, and risk assessments.
- Report hazards, incidents, and non-conformances promptly.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, QA/QC, and other trades to resolve technical queries.
- Maintain organised, safe work areas and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Must-have Requirements- Qualified via NVQ, City & Guilds, Apprenticeship or time-served (minimum 5 years’ verified experience in your trade).
- Holder of a valid CCNSG Safety Passport or willingness to obtain one.
- Extensive experience in installation, assembly, and pressure testing of pipework systems in industrial environments.
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong awareness of nuclear safety culture and rigorous quality standards.
Nice-to-have Skills- Connected Competence accreditation (Pipefitting discipline).
- Experience on major infrastructure or nuclear projects.
