Senior Site Planner – Exxon Fawley Refinery NRL Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Senior Site Planner on behalf of our client for a long-term contract based at Exxon Fawley Refinery, Southampton.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Planner with strong Primavera P6 expertise to join a major industrial site and support the successful delivery of a portfolio of projects.

The Role As Senior Site Planner, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance and monitoring of project schedules and associated planning documentation. You will support either large-scale projects or a portfolio of modification projects, ensuring schedules are robust, accurate and aligned with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6
  • Create project plans based on estimates, CTRs and project team input
  • Apply logic links and coding structures to enable schedule analysis
  • Monitor progress and review baseline versus actual performance
  • Produce and issue updated schedules and planning reports
  • Support project controls, contract management and engineering teams
  • Liaise closely with client planners and project stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with company and project planning procedures
  • Support planning risk assessments and schedule risk activities
  • Guide and support day-to-day planning team activities
  • Promote high standards of project controls and planning delivery
Essential Requirements
  • HNC qualification or equivalent
  • Proven experience planning large projects or major project work packages
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience with Primavera P6
  • Ability to develop, maintain and monitor detailed project schedules
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Desirable Requirements
  • Degree qualification
  • Level 3 QCF in Planning / Project Controls
  • Experience within:
    • Offshore Oil & Gas
    • Downstream Petrochemical
    • Nuclear
    • Renewable Energy sectors
  • Knowledge of electronic project control applications
  • Experience writing and maintaining planning or departmental procedures
