Job Title Subsea Systems Engineer – SAS / Instrumentation (Oil & Gas)
Summary We’re seeking an experienced Subsea Systems Engineer to join a major offshore oil and gas project in Stavanger, Norway. This role involves coordinating subsea control systems and automation engineering activities, ensuring technical excellence and seamless integration with topside systems. It’s an ideal position for engineers with strong E&I knowledge and experience in subsea integration projects.
Location and Working Pattern Stavanger, Norway – On-site.

Fixed-term position ending 31 December 2028.
Client Overview Our client is an established operator in the oil and gas industry, focused on safe and efficient offshore project delivery.
Responsibilities- Manage procurement activities from strategy through supplier follow-up.
- Act as the main technical interface for vendors, ensuring compliance with scope and quality.
- Prepare technical specifications, requisitions, and scopes of work for tenders.
- Support bid assessments, technical evaluations, and supplier selections.
- Conduct detailed engineering activities within Instrumentation and SAS disciplines.
- Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and vendor inspections.
- Oversee change management and ensure accurate technical documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement to optimise execution efficiency and reduce costs.
- Coordinate integration of subsea control systems with topside automation and key suppliers.
Must-have Requirements- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS) projects.
- Previous experience as PRE, Lead Engineer, or similar role managing technical packages.
- Strong knowledge of Safety & Automation Systems (SAS) and subsea control systems.
- Proven experience with subsea integration and supplier management.
- Good understanding of E&I installations, NORSOK, and IEC standards.
- Ability to work independently and handle changing schedules.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Valid offshore certification (preferred) and eligibility to work in Norway.
