Summary
We’re seeking an experienced Principal Metallurgy Engineer to join an upcoming project based in Woking, UK. This role will suit someone with strong expertise in material selection and corrosion control for major onshore oil and gas facilities. The engagement offers a long-term contract and the opportunity to work on a high-profile EPCM project for a leading global operator.

Woking, UK – Office-based, 5 days per week


Client Overview
Our client is a major engineering and project management organisation, supporting complex oil and gas projects across global markets.


Responsibilities

• Verify FEED documentation and provide technical assurance across project phases
• Develop Materials Selection Philosophy and Reports for above ground installations and pipelines
• Produce material selection diagrams and specifications for various systems
• Prepare Corrosion Control and Cathodic Protection philosophy documentation
• Deliver corrosion management plans and relevant technical specifications
• Review vendor documents, technical bids, and material take-offs (MTOs)
• Respond to RFIs and TQs, and support interdisciplinary coordination and reviews
• Ensure all deliverables meet quality requirements within approved schedule and budget

Must-have Requirements

• Proven track record in materials and corrosion engineering within the oil and gas sector
• Strong knowledge of material selection, corrosion prevention, and cathodic protection systems
• Ability to prepare and review project-specific engineering documents to international codes and standards
• Experience supporting FEED and EPCM project phases

Nice-to-have Skills

• Familiarity with Aramco standards (SAES) is highly desirable
• Understanding of AGI and pipeline material specifications
• Experience in corrosion modelling and coatings technologies
