Job Title Warehouse Manager
Summary We’re looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to join an exciting Carbon Capture project based in
Padeswood (CH7 4HB). This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has managed materials and logistics on large-scale construction projects within sectors such as energy, oil & gas, chemicals, or infrastructure. Contract: Initial 12-month contract
Working arrangement: On-site across warehouse, laydown areas, and construction site.
Client Overview Our client is delivering a pioneering Carbon Capture project, supporting the energy transition and helping drive sustainability in industrial operations. This role is key to enabling the project to achieve its construction milestones safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities- Promote Health, Safety, Security and Environment standards within all warehouse and laydown areas.
- Manage the warehouse teams across on-site and off-site locations.
- Input into and execute the Material Management Plan for the construction phase.
- Oversee warehouse and laydown operations, ensuring compliance with established procedures.
- Maintain full accuracy and use of the material management system (ERM) across all storage areas.
- Supervise receipt, inspection, documentation, storage, preservation, and issuance of materials and equipment.
- Ensure proper segregation and care of materials, including hazardous goods.
- Maintain robust controls for material release to subcontractors and align with construction schedules.
- Coordinate internal transport and lifting operations between warehouses and laydown areas.
- Identify and communicate any potential material shortages or logistical risks.
Must-have Requirements- Proven experience as a Warehouse or Materials Manager on large-scale construction projects (energy, oil & gas, chemicals, infrastructure, CCUS).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple warehouses and teams.
- Solid understanding of material management systems, processes, and tools (e.g., ERM).
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of lifting regulations, traffic management, and manual handling compliance.
- Ability to provide clear updates and resolve day-to-day operational challenges.
Nice-to-have Skills- Formal qualifications in Supply Chain or Warehouse Management.
- Previous experience implementing company procedures and working within structured material control systems.
