Civil/Structural Designer – BIM
Summary We are looking for an experienced Civil/Structural Designer to support the delivery of a major semiconductor project in Kildare, Ireland. This role is ideal for professionals with strong BIM and site-based expertise who enjoy working in highly regulated and advanced manufacturing environments. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute technical expertise to a large-scale construction programme on a 12-month contract basis.
Location and Working Pattern Kildare, Ireland – On-site - contract.

Responsibilities- Coordinate civil and structural engineering activities for designated semiconductor project areas
- Develop, review and maintain BIM models, ensuring accuracy, clash resolution and compliance
- Support site installation of structural steel, concrete works, foundations and civil infrastructure
- Conduct field inspections and verify installation quality to meet codes and standards
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architectural, mechanical and electrical disciplines
- Ensure adherence to cleanroom contamination controls and advanced manufacturing requirements
- Review technical submittals, method statements and contractor proposals
- Support commissioning readiness, structural verification and as-built documentation
- Maintain accurate project records and BIM updates throughout the project lifecycle
- Drive safety, quality and continuous improvement across all project activities
Must-have Requirements- Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline
- Proven experience delivering civil/structural works for large industrial or advanced manufacturing projects
- Proficiency in BIM tools such as Revit and Navisworks
- Site-based experience on major construction programmes
- Strong ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and BIM models
- Knowledge of construction quality standards and commissioning processes
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary environments
Nice-to-have Skills- Familiarity with semiconductor facilities or cleanroom environments
- Experience with temporary works and structural installation monitoring
