We’re looking for an experienced Document Controller to join a leading engineering organisation on an initial 6-month contract. Based at 106 Dalton Avenue for three days per week, this opportunity is ideal for someone with strong document management expertise working on secure, regulated projects.

Client Overview
Our client is a major player in the engineering sector, delivering critical projects in highly controlled environments. They are known for their commitment to safety, technical excellence and long-term project success.
Responsibilities- Register and capture documents in the electronic document management system (EDMS) across client and sub-contractor documentation
- Review document formats, coding and ensure compliance with approval processes
- Circulate documents for review, approval or acceptance as needed
- Manage document numbering systems and maintain accurate records
- Produce daily, weekly and monthly document status reports
- Administer EDMS system including creating vaults, managing user permissions, workflows and reports
- Archive and hand over documentation in line with project completion requirements
- Liaise with internal teams and clients on document management processes
Must-have Requirements- Extensive experience in document control within a similar environment
- Advanced knowledge of document management techniques and toolsets
- Experience supporting projects through full lifecycle from bid to close-out
- Relevant qualification in Information Management and Level 4 National Diploma in Business Administration (or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of compliance and governance for controlled projects
- Active or ability to achieve BPSS clearance (UK nationals only – role subject to trade controls)
Nice-to-have Skills- Professional qualifications such as APM or CMII
- Awareness of contracting methodologies (FIDIC, NEC3, JCT)
- Familiarity with change control and quality management processes
- Experience with information assurance and IT systems used in secure environments
