We’re looking for an experienced Site Supervisor with strong EIC expertise to oversee installation, testing and commissioning activities on a major energy project in Essex. This contract role is ideal for someone who thrives on leading site operations and ensuring safe, compliant delivery. It offers excellent project visibility on a long-term programme.
Location and Working Pattern Essex | Site-based | Full-time contract (outside IR35)
Responsibilities- Lead and uphold health, safety, environmental and quality standards across all site activities.
- Oversee the installation, inspection, and commissioning of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
- Coordinate subcontractors and manage day-to-day site interfaces to maintain progress.
- Identify and promptly resolve site issues, including defects, punch lists and completion activities.
- Support testing, commissioning and fault-finding across EIC systems.
- Raise and manage change requests or deviations with the wider project team.
- Maintain accurate site reporting and ensure work is delivered to specifications.
Must-have Requirements- Proven experience supervising EIC activities within industrial or energy sector projects.
- Strong background managing site-based work in construction and commissioning environments.
- Knowledge of HSEQ compliance and ability to enforce safe systems of work.
- Competency in reading technical drawings, schematics and engineering documentation.
- Electrical engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
- SSSTS (or equivalent).
Nice-to-have Skills- HV switching or authorisation.
- Experience with PLC/DCS systems and understanding of interfaces between electrical and mechanical packages.
- Familiarity with Energy-from-Waste, power generation or related sectors.
- Proficiency using site reporting tools and Microsoft Office applications.
