Electrical Engineer – Wind Summary We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our client’s team and support the technical delivery of utility-scale wind projects. This role is ideal for someone with a strong engineering background who can manage design tasks, technical evaluations, and due diligence to bring renewable projects to completion.

Client Overview Our client specialises in renewable energy projects, delivering large-scale wind developments and supporting the transition to cleaner energy systems.
Responsibilities- Support senior engineering team members in delivering technically compliant wind projects.
- Manage or lead allocated technical tasks, assessments, and design activities.
- Review and evaluate technical documentation and contracts including PPA, Grid Code, and Connection Agreements.
- Assist in the preparation and assessment of RFP documentation and supplier responses.
- Conduct technical due diligence and investigations for technology selection.
- Coordinate and compile complete system design packages.
- Review and contribute to technical schedules for PPA, (S)-EPC, and O&M contracts.
- Support project execution teams with technical planning and alignment.
- Review detailed engineering designs and manage change requests.
- Perform site visits to ensure design expectations are implemented.
- Support commissioning activities and project close-out phases.
Must-have Requirements- Degree in Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering.
- Experience with AutoCAD and electrical reticulation system design.
- Exposure to high voltage networks and substations.
- Proven experience in utility-scale wind project design and execution.
- Strong analytical thinking, organisational skills, and ability to work independently.
- Fluency in English, with excellent report writing skills.
- Familiarity with energy generation contracts and utility interfaces.
Nice-to-have Skills- Knowledge of PV and BESS technologies alongside wind expertise.
- Ability to run energy production simulations for multi-technology systems.
- Understanding of contract structures for developing technical schedules.
