Summary
We’re looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support the successful delivery of life sciences projects in Limerick. This role is ideal for a professional with strong leadership skills and experience in mechanical or building services engineering, looking to work on large-scale construction and fit-out projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for MEP engineering and building services within the sector.
• Oversee design, installation, commissioning and handover of MEP systems across multiple projects.
• Ensure integration of MEP services with structural, architectural and civil works.
• Review and approve technical documentation, design submissions and specifications for compliance.
• Monitor project performance, risk and compliance within MEP activities.
• Support project managers in delivering projects on time, within budget and to quality standards.
• Lead investigations into technical failures and ensure lessons learned are applied.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and regulatory bodies to ensure expectations are met.

Must-have Requirements

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
• Significant experience in MEP leadership and management within construction.

Nice-to-have Skills

• Postgraduate qualification in Building Services, Engineering Management or Sustainability.
• Professional membership with a recognised body (CIBSE, IET or equivalent).
• Experience with BIM for MEP, digital engineering or smart building technologies.
• Knowledge of energy efficiency, carbon management and sustainability frameworks.
