A leading provider of
service and lifecycle solutions within the waste‑to‑energy sector is recruiting a
Service Manager to support the continued growth of its UK service operation.
This role sits at the intersection of
service delivery, customer engagement and business development, supporting high‑value service, retrofit and lifecycle solutions across operational waste‑to‑energy facilities.
It is a permanent, full‑time position offering a strong level of autonomy, hybrid working and UK‑wide travel to sites and customers, with a base of
Hinckley, Leicestershire.
What you’ll be doing- Working closely with senior UK and international stakeholders to identify, develop and convert service opportunities
- Promoting and selling service offerings including service agreements, overhauls, upgrades, spare parts and training
- Managing and motivating the UK service team, ensuring service projects and outages are delivered safely, on time and within budget
- Acting as the commercial and technical interface with customers, planning visits and building long‑term relationships
- Owning service opportunities through the CRM system, including forecasting, reporting and pipeline management
- Independently overseeing assigned service projects, including resource planning and coordination
- Feeding back market intelligence and customer requirements to support product and service development
What we’re looking for- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Strong background in mechanical or plant engineering within a service, maintenance or lifecycle environment
- Proven experience across both service sales and service delivery
- Confident people leader with solid project and commercial management capability
- Ability to carry out audits and produce clear, professional technical reports
- Safety‑first mindset with a structured, organised approach to work
