Construction Manager

​A Construction Manager is a professional who oversees the development and construction of a building project, providing advice on planning and budget, liaising with the client and consultants, coordinating with subcontractors, monitoring progress and ensuring deadlines are met.

As a Construction Manager you may work across a wide range of construction projects for residential, commercial and civil work. Supervising the design, development and construction of projects using previous knowledge and expertise in leadership, communication and planning gained through past Construction Manager roles.

A Construction Manager has a broad range of responsibilities, from hiring workers to overseeing finances and co-ordinating many groups of people and individuals on site and within the supply chain. Previous experience is therefore essential to successfully secure work as a Construction Manager.

Hartlepool

Hartlepool is a town on the North East coast of England, in County Durham. It lies on the northern bank of the mouth of the River Tees. Hartlepool is a seaside town, famous for its beaches and grand buildings. It has a population of around 90,000 and is home to the Hartlepool United Football Club.

The engineering sector in Hartlepool is diverse and covers a large range of industries. These include aerospace engineering, fabrication and machine maintenance, food and drink manufacturing, energy production, vehicle manufacturing and the offshore gas and oil industry.

Hartlepool has an excellent transport network, the bus service takes you to most places in the town centre, Alnmouth and Newcastle. The train station also provides other services such as access to Durham and Middlesbrough. It is served by the A189 road, which links Newton Aycliffe to the north and Sunderland to the south.
