Along with this, the Mechanical Project Manager will be tasked with ensuring that the project deliverables meet specifications, adhere to budget and schedule constraints, meet applicable standards and regulations, as well as satisfy client needs.

The role of a Mechanical Project Manager can be challenging, as you will need to be able to anticipate problems before they arise and have extensive engineering industry experience to be able to effectively find resolutions to problems. Working as a Mechanical Project Manager, you will manage every aspect of a project to ensure it runs smoothly and on schedule, from initial planning through implementation and completion. Mechanical Project Managers hold formal qualifications and have previous industry experience.

Inverness

​Inverness is the capital city of the Highlands and the most northerly city in the UK. It has a population of around 45,000 people and sits on the banks of the River Ness.

Inverness is home to power stations and various oil and gas exploration companies. It is also an important centre for engineering with companies specialising in turbines, boilers, ship engines and generators, used in local fishing and fish farms or for generating electricity.

The transport in and around Inverness is excellent. There are regular buses and trains as well as a ferry to the islands. The coastal towns of Invergordon, Fortrose and Cromarty are also easily reached by road or ferry from Inverness.
