A Pipefitter is responsible for building, installing, and repairing piping systems. They must be able to understand blueprints and inspect their worksite to ensure a safe working environment and remove obstructions.

A Pipefitter must be able to cut, thread, bend and connect pipes, as well as install and secure them. They must work carefully to install and repair pipes so that they prevent leaks. Pipefitters generally work with metal pipes, non-metal pipes, tubes, and fittings.

A Pipefitter must be qualified to Level 3 standard or have completed an apprenticeship. They may be required to hold a CSCS or Skillscard.
