NRL’s Civil engineering client based in Derby is looking to recruit an experienced Estimator to join them on a permanent staff basis. The client specialise in Pre-Fabrication, Welding, Pipework systems and Oil & Gas contracts within civil engineering throughout the UK.

About the role:

We require a estimators who will have a proven track record in the above mentioned industries with contracting experience, team ethos, high levels of motivation & commercial awareness, strong IT skills, excellent written & verbal communication skills, exceptional organisation & time management skills and will be able to demonstrate a high degree of self-motivation, and hence a good understanding of the importance of consistently providing a quality service to our clients.
 
Job Responsibilities: 
  • Preparation of tender submissions.
  • Organise appropriate tender enquiries.
  • Administrate correspondence and tender documents.
  • Produce accurate and comprehensive estimates in a timely and efficient manner.
What you will need?
 
Preferred Skills:
  • Preferable but not essential, practical qualifications and experience in the utilities and or pipeline industry.
  • Production of tenders / prices from first principles.
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of project management requirements and associated terminology and techniques.
  • Good computer skills, proficient with MS Office software including Project.
You’re Qualifications and Experience should be:
  • HNC or Degree (or equivalent).
  • Site based engineering experience.
  • Proven successful estimating experience.
  • Considerable variety in types of work priced.
  • Good interpersonal skills and an ability to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Applicants need to be highly organised and self-motivated.
