Electrical & Control Design Engineer

We support our clients who are in-field operating vessels and equipment – they are doing amazing things in challenging conditions; we support them and their operation teams utilising our technical skill set.

What is the job role?
Concept and detail design of electrical power and control systems for bespoke equipment
Hardware design including component selection and supporting calculations.
PLC programming (Siemens / Rockwell)
Designing of SCADA/HMI applications
Design of ethernet and serial networks
Manufacture and assembly support
Technical documentation to support equipment (specifications, risk assessments, manuals, etc.)
Client support – on-site and remote (occasional site travel preferred)
Peer review of engineering designs
Experience level – ability to work on projects without direct supervision. 5+ years
What other information is key for the role:
DME Headquarters are based in Jarrow – 5 minutes from Tyne Tunnel; parking on site and close to public transport.
Familiarity of AutoCAD Electrical useful, but not essential
