NRL are seeking to recruit a talented Inventory Controller to join a global energy company for sustainable electricity generation based on offshore wind power. This is to start in January 2024 at the Kings Lynn Power Station.


About the role:

  • As a member of the Stations Operations and Maintenance Team, your duties involves the effective management of the station’s stores & procurement operation including, ordering, receiving, issuing, stock audit, good housekeeping and production of ad hoc reports.

  • Includes the administration of service contracts, industrial chemicals, gasses and consignment stock, ensuring correct budget allocation of committed expenditure.

  • Implementing effective processes for managing the receipt of goods ensuring appropriate standards and in accordance with company procedures.

  • Enter goods received into IT systems confirming correct delivery of goods

  • Retrieve and distribute stock from stores ensuring IT systems are accurately updated

  • Operate mobile plant and other vehicles to collect and redistribute stock

  • Manage stores security ensuring stock is safe and secure

  • Arrange transport of goods to other locations as required

  • Where required support the management of ladders, lifting tackle, hydraulic equipment, radio, tooling etc. Ensuring they are stored, inspected and maintained.

  • Communicate clearly and promptly with suppliers to ensure standards and expectations are clear.

  • To ensure stock and consumables records are accurately retained.

What you will need:

  • Experience with the Software SAP would be desirable

  • Ability and fitness to drive fork lift trucks and other site vehicles, after training

  • Experience of working within a highly regulated industry

  • Experienced in storekeeping for the power industry or similar large industry, including the operations of stock management systems, procurement, contract and inventory management procedures. Be familiar with the management of high value stock and stock taking procedures.

  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation, regulations and directives.
