About the role:

  • To maintain the data held within the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) ensuring that backlog levels are managed and priority work is undertaken in the appropriate time frame to minimize risk to the business whilst also reporting a defined suite of KPI’s to communicate the health of the maintenance planning function

  • To carry out aforementioned remit safely, efficiently and cost effectively while complying with all company procedures and international standards.

Remit and experience required:

  • Actively engage with the Maintenance Planning process keeping all key stakeholders up to speed with high priority work fronts throughout the life cycle of the work order 

  • Challenge and progress/reject and own all emergent service requests/work orders 

  • Actively participate in the technical appraisal of new and emergent Work Orders & Service 

  • Produce a new work pack incorporating the Scoping Sheet data and any other information required for all works to be executed and route accordingly where required.

  • Produce DJR element to capture the flanges disturbed during the activity.

  • Carry out second level supervision for all activities  in their asset including contractor scopes.

  • Carry out all post activity QA to ensure an appropriate level of assurance is gained. Recommissioning of equipment, including punching where required.

  • Assess, challenge and verify all contractor RAMS to ensure they meet the standard expected.

  • Responsibility for all third party permit builders are verified as working to the correct standard.

  • Responsible for owning the inspection meeting and all statutory requirements are communicated and executed 3 months ahead of due date.

  • Responsible for owning  compliance for all TBM scope whether executed by the asset techs 

  • Responsible for appropriate remediation of all Rime 1 and 2 work scopes within time frame.

  • Responsible for third party estimates and ensuring the company is gaining value for money and that estimates are costed as per the framework agreement.

  • Carry out a suitable risk assessment for Maintenance activities (which may include Task Based Risk Assessments) as well as build permits to first stage lock for all PI Engineering activities as well as for any non-term contractors.

  • Raise timeous Delay and Defects in compliance with the appropriate Process as required.

  • To monitor/control via CMMS, work requests, stores requisitions, equipment history, spares holding, failure reporting in order to run operation of the maintenance and planning systems.

  • To assess routine material, spares and service requirements and to raise purchase requisitions, 

  • Reporting Maintenance KPI’s to understand and monitor the health of the Maintenance process.

  • Create ad-hoc, set piece plans for any large scale, large cost or unit limiting work fronts.

  • Be fully aware of GMP 07 – Control of Work and the requirements this brings to the planner.

  • Represent Maintenance in correspondence, weekly and monthly, with at least one contractor.

  • Create and/or update Maintenance documentation where they are missing, where there are mistakes or there are omissions identified. 

What you will need? 

  • Relevant Formal Apprenticeship

  • SVQ Level 3 in relevant subject

  • HNC in appropriate Engineering subject

  • An understanding of the maintenance workflow process and CMMS

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Proven self-starter with a bias for action

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Flexible and adaptable to change

  • IT literate and proficient in computer systems

  • Knowledge of National and International standards in their maintenance discipline

  • Able to read and interpret Engineering drawings

  • Experience of Maximo CMMS would be beneficial
