Working with a high performing local authority by continually putting the needs of its residents at the centre of everything it does. NRL are looking for a Project Manager on an initial 6 - 12 months, working on site or in the office.

About the role:

As the Project Manager you will oversee NEC contract life cycles, manage communications via CEMAR or equivalent, and develop solutions for site queries and design issues. You will review and accept contractor programmes and traffic management plans, provide project progress reports, and monitor progress against programme, quality, and budget. Additionally, you will offer technical advice, collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, ensure compliance with regulations and laws, update internal communications teams for resident and stakeholder information, and manage internal staff supporting project delivery.

What you will need:
  • BSc/BEng (Hons) Degree in Civil Engineering or related experience
  • Experience in all stages of design and construction of civil engineering projects
  • Experience in supervising construction activities and experience in using CEMAR or equivalent
  • Knowledge of relevant design standards, regulations, and specifications, including: DMRB (Design Manual for Roads and Bridges), TSRGD (Traffic Signs Regulations and General
  • Directions), Manual for Streets and CDM Regulations (Construction, Design & Management).
  • Experience and knowledge of highway contracts, specifications, method of measurement, item coverage and pricing schedules relating to highway projects and schemes.
  • Valid UK driving licence (for site visits).
