Service Manager – Farnborough

Our client, a leader in Energy from Waste, are now looking for a Service Manager to support with their site based in Farnborough.

About the role:

Duties will include but are not limited to:
  • You will contribute to a complete understanding of the UK & Ireland market situation and identify opportunities by developing and maintaining close contacts with existing and potential Customers.
  • You will work in full coordination with UK Service Director and other international teams to promote and sell our large portfolio of spare parts, mechanical and process retrofit to plan Customers visits (Client and non-client plants, central organizations) in view of identifying and creating new opportunities.
  • You will manage the service team, working closely with project managers and site supervisors in delivering service activities on time and within budget in accordance with local and companywide HSE and Quality systems/standards.
  • You will support product management by identifying market needs and present our products to clients.
  • You will create Customer-specific bids (including calculations), and follow these up until contract conclusion or rejection.
  • You will independently supervise your assigned service projects and outages, plans bidding and project work and associated resources.
  • You will be able to apply continuous Change control and plus/minus list cost management without upsetting customer relationship and future business potential.
What you will need:

Ideally you will have skills and experience covering the below:
  • Education as a Process or Mechanical Engineer.
  • Experience in the field of Mechanical and Plant Engineering.
  • Service Sales: Service Agreements, Overhauls, Pressure parts, Upgrades, Spare Parts, Training.
  • Service Execution: Project management and organisation skills, ability to lead a team effectively.
  • Service Technical: Ability to complete Audits, Write technical reports.
  • Project management skills: Risk management, Schedule Management, Scope Management, Communication, Change Management, Stakeholder Management, Cost control / Finance Management.
  • Good capabilities in mentoring and personal development of others.
  • Solution Selling capabilities.
