Dundee
Dundee is the fourth-largest city in Scotland; with a population of around 150,000. It lies on the north bank of the Firth of Tay to the east of Edinburgh. The harbour is home to one of the world's shipbuilding facilities and contains a large fishing fleet.
The engineering sector in Dundee is one of the most important sectors for the city's economy and is especially known internationally as a centre of excellence in shipbuilding, energy production, life sciences and electronics technology.
Transport in Dundee is well catered for by road, rail and air. There are many bus services which operate within the city and its surrounding areas. The local train stations such as Dundee Central Station are on the main line between Edinburgh and Aberdeen making commuting easy.
