MEP Construction Assurance Manager
We are seeking an experienced Construction Assurance Manager (CAM) to support the successful delivery of major civil engineering and infrastructure projects. The role will focus on ensuring construction activities meet required quality, safety, and compliance standards, with a strong emphasis on health & safety and MEP installations, particularly pump houses / pump stations within water or utilities environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide construction assurance across major civil engineering works, ensuring compliance with design specifications, standards, and contractual requirements
  • Champion and enforce health & safety best practices across all site activities, ensuring adherence to CDM regulations and company procedures
  • Monitor and audit construction works to ensure quality, safety, and environmental compliance
  • Oversee installation and commissioning of MEP systems, including pump houses, pump stations, and associated mechanical and electrical infrastructure
  • Review method statements, risk assessments (RAMS), and inspection test plans (ITPs)
  • Interface with contractors, designers, and stakeholders to resolve technical and delivery issues
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and progress reporting to ensure assurance standards are maintained
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain programme and quality objectives
  • Support handover, commissioning, and close-out processes
Key Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Construction Assurance Manager (CAM), Construction Manager, or similar role on major infrastructure or civil engineering projects
  • Strong background in health & safety (H&S) with working knowledge of CDM Regulations
  • Experience with MEP systems, specifically pump houses / pump stations within water, utilities, or similar sectors
  • Demonstrable experience in construction assurance, quality control, and compliance
  • Ability to review technical drawings, specifications, and standards
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Desirable
  • Experience working on water sector projects (e.g. AMP frameworks)
  • NEC Accreditation
  • Professional membership (ICE, IET, or similar)
  • H&S certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or SMSTS
  • Experience with major contractors or Tier 1 organisations
