Construction Piping Supervisor

Summary

We’re looking for two experienced Construction Piping Supervisors to join a major project in Wesseling, Germany. This role is ideal for German-speaking professionals with extensive piping and mechanical construction experience who are ready to take on a challenging supervision position. You’ll be at the heart of a long-term contract, ensuring safety, compliance, and performance standards on-site.

Salary

€85–€115 per hour

  • 48-hour working week
  • 12-month contract
  • Start date: ASAP

Client Overview

Our client is delivering a significant construction project in the energy sector, offering the opportunity to work on large-scale piping and mechanical systems in a collaborative multinational environment.



Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support contractors on-site, ensuring work meets project standards and deadlines
  • Monitor contractor performance and enforce policies, procedures, and work rules
  • Coordinate activities with other superintendents and contractors to maintain efficiency and safety
  • Review engineering drawings and specifications to ensure compliance
  • Carry out audits to maintain adherence to relevant codes and standards
  • Promote a strong safety culture to achieve all HSSE goals
  • Review and approve contractor method statements for controlled and safe work execution
  • Maintain daily logs and attend construction meetings as required

 

Must-have Requirements

  • Fluent German speaker with understanding of spoken English
  • Time-served apprenticeship or national certificate in piping or mechanical discipline
  • 10+ years’ site experience in piping and mechanical construction, including 4+ years in a supervisory role
  • Strong knowledge of German industry specifications, codes, and standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with PTW (Permit to Work) systems
  • Ability to lead teams and work with minimal supervision

 


Nice-to-have Skills

  • Experience coordinating multiple contractors effectively
  • Familiarity with auditing contractor competencies and work processes
