Job Title Electrical Design Engineer
Summary We’re seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our client’s team in Dublin on a hybrid basis, working on pharmaceutical manufacturing projects. This role is ideal for someone with advanced BIM expertise in Revit who enjoys delivering fully coordinated designs in complex, multidisciplinary environments. You’ll contribute to digital project delivery and play a key role in advancing innovative engineering solutions.
Location and Working Pattern Dublin, Ireland – Hybrid working, combining office and remote flexibility.
Client Overview Our client is a leading engineering services provider, recognised for delivering cutting-edge solutions across major industrial and pharmaceutical projects.
Responsibilities- Lead the development, management, and governance of electrical BIM models in Revit in accordance with project and client standards
- Model electrical systems including containment, power distribution, equipment layouts, earthing, and lighting for pharmaceutical facilities
- Produce fully coordinated electrical layouts and construction-ready drawings supporting all project phases
- Guarantee model accuracy, compliance, and data integrity throughout the lifecycle
- Coordinate electrical models with other disciplines, manage clash detection using Navisworks or similar tools, and resolve issues efficiently
- Translate electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and vendor documentation into accurate BIM deliverables
- Serve as the primary BIM interface for electrical engineering, liaising with project teams, contractors, and vendors
- Mentor junior modellers and improve BIM workflows, standards, and content libraries
Must-have Requirements- Proven experience developing electrical BIM models in Revit
- Strong knowledge of BIM execution plans, standards, and multidisciplinary coordination
- Experience supporting pharmaceutical or similarly regulated environments
- Skilled in clash detection using Navisworks or equivalent
- Ability to interpret detailed electrical drawings and ensure compliance with QA standards
