Summary We’re seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee commercial and cost management for a major data centre development in Frankfurt. Client Overview Our client is a well-established general contractor with an impressive track record in delivering large-scale, complex construction projects across Europe, including data centres for major clients. Their dynamic approach ensures innovative solutions and successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial strategy and manage all financial aspects of the project.
• Prepare and monitor cost plans, budgets, and forecasts.
• Ensure contract compliance across procurement and subcontracts.
• Negotiate agreements and manage supplier relationships effectively.
• Oversee preparation and submission of monthly valuations and cost reports.
• Evaluate and manage variations, claims, and contractual risk.
• Mentor and support junior team members and promote best commercial practices.

Must-have Requirements

• Degree-qualified Quantity Surveyor or equivalent.
• 8 years’ experience, including senior QS responsibilities within large projects.
• In-depth understanding of construction contracts and procurement processes.
• Excellent reporting, costing, and negotiation skills.

Nice-to-have Skills

• Exposure to data centre or large-scale industrial projects.
• Strong leadership and team development capability.
