Job Title Head of Business Development
Summary We’re seeking an experienced Head of Business Development to lead a high-performing sales team, driving customer-focused solutions across energy services. Based in the from Glasgow but covering the UK, this role is ideal for a senior sales leader with strong experience in HVAC and related technologies who can inspire teams, build client relationships, and deliver bespoke energy solutions. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a leadership position with significant responsibility and influence.
Salary £65,000 – £72,000 per annum
Location and Working Pattern Glasgow based. Full-time role – specific working pattern will be discussed during the recruitment process.
Client Overview Our client specialises in delivering tailored energy solutions that competitors simply won’t provide. Their portfolio includes Solar PV, HVAC, Heat Pumps, CHP Systems, and Water Services, ensuring every client receives a solution designed to meet their exact needs.
Responsibilities- Lead, mentor and develop the business development team to achieve high performance.
- Oversee the creation and delivery of customer-led sales strategies.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of energy solutions, including Solar PV, HVAC, Heat Pumps and CHP Systems.
- Build and nurture long-term client relationships through exceptional service.
- Negotiate favourable terms with clients, suppliers and partners.
- Monitor performance metrics and present detailed reports to senior leadership.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Maintain best practice across CRM systems and sales processes.
Must-have Requirements- Extensive technical sales experience in HVAC services and projects.
- Proven leadership experience within business development or sales teams.
- Strong commercial experience in industrial or commercial sectors.
- Excellent negotiation, communication and client relationship skills.
- Financial understanding and the ability to manage contracts and projects effectively.
Nice-to-have Skills- Knowledge of energy solutions and water management services.
- Familiarity with sales software and CRM systems.
- Experience with CHP, Heat Pumps or Solar PV.
