M&E Engineer (Welding)

Job Title: M&E Engineer – Welding

Location: Bridgwater / 3 days on site 2 remote

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced M&E Engineer – Welding to join a high-profile energy infrastructure project. The successful candidate will contribute to the technical assessment of engineering queries raised by the site contractor, providing expertise across the M&E scope for both client and responsible designer activities. This role offers exposure to a technically challenging and large-scale energy project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical assessment and support for M&E welding and materials queries from the site contractor.
• Review and advise on M&E scope design.
• Act as both client representative and responsible designer on welding and materials matters.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve welding and materials-related technical issues.
• Contribute to the development, review, and implementation of welding specifications, standards, and best practices.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in M&E design with welding and materials engineering focus.
• Strong understanding of welding processes, standards, and quality control in large-scale industrial projects.
• Experience in energy or nuclear infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
