Mechanical Commissioning Engineer

Location: Izmir, Türkiye
Contract: 3‑month initial contract (immediate start)

Overview Our client, is seeking a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to join their team on an initial 3‑month mission‑critical data centre project in Izmir. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering mechanical systems to operational readiness under a tight commissioning schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct commissioning of mechanical systems including chilled water, CRAC/CRAH units, HVAC, pumps, cooling towers, and associated controls.
• Perform system verification, testing, troubleshooting, and optimisation activities.
• Oversee mechanical vendor attendance and coordinate system handovers.
• Ensure compliance with commissioning procedures, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
• Support integrated systems testing and interface closely with electrical and controls engineers.
• Prepare documentation including test sheets, punch lists, progress reports, and final commissioning records.

Skills & Experience Required

• Background as a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer within data centres, pharmaceuticals, process, energy, or similar high‑spec sectors.
• Strong technical understanding of mechanical plant, HVAC systems, and building services control logic.
• Experience working within fast‑paced commissioning environments with strict deadlines.
• Strong communication and reporting capability.
• Fluent English required; Turkish language skills a plus.
• Must hold the right to work in Türkiye.
