We’re looking for an experienced MEP Lead to join a major pharmaceutical project in Limerick, Ireland. This permanent position offers an opportunity to lead technical and operational delivery of complex MEP systems within advanced facilities. Client Overview
Our client is a leading construction and engineering group delivering high-quality, large-scale projects across multiple sectors, including pharmaceuticals and advanced manufacturing. They prioritise safety, compliance, and innovation in every project undertaken.


Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership across MEP engineering and building services within the project sector.
  • Oversee design, installation, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems.
  • Ensure integration of MEP with structural, architectural, and civil disciplines.
  • Monitor project performance, risk and compliance for all MEP activities.
  • Review and approve technical documentation and design submissions against contract and statutory requirements.
  • Lead investigations into technical incidents to ensure lessons learned are implemented.
  • Mentor and support building services managers and senior technical staff.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and regulators to ensure compliance and manage expectations.

Must-have Requirements
  • Degree or professional qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
  • Extensive experience in senior MEP or building services roles within complex projects.
  • Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and delivering integrated MEP solutions across large-scale or multi-site projects.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems including design and commissioning.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communicator with experience mentoring teams.

Nice-to-have Skills
  • Postgraduate qualification in Building Services or Engineering Management.
  • Professional membership of CIBSE, IET, or equivalent.
  • Experience working with BIM for MEP, digital engineering or smart building technology.
  • Understanding of energy efficiency, sustainability standards, and carbon management in construction.
