Project Manager – Gas Infrastructure (Bacton Terminal)
Permanent or Outside IR35 Contract | 4 Days On‑Site – Bacton, Norfolk

Looking for your next project where you can genuinely take ownership, lead delivery, and work on one of the region’s most critical gas infrastructure sites? This is a rare opportunity to step into a visible, influential role delivering upgrades and maintenance across a major Gas Terminal and associated PRS/AGI assets around the Norwich area.

We’re supporting a growing contractor operating at the forefront of utility and energy infrastructure. They’re looking for a Project Manager who thrives on accountability, clarity, and leading from the front — someone who can blend technical oversight with strong commercial and programme control.

Why this role?
You’ll be the person who sets the tone for delivery. From building the Project Delivery Plan to leading HSQ&E, to managing risk, cost, programme and client expectations — this is true end‑to‑end ownership. If you enjoy being embedded on site, engaging closely with operational teams and the client, and driving a project to the finish line, this will suit you perfectly.

What you’ll be doing
  • Leading projects across a key Gas Terminal and local PRS/AGI assets
  • Building and managing project programmes and short‑term delivery plans
  • Driving HSQ&E excellence and setting high standards onsite
  • Managing commercial elements including NEC processes, change, forecasting and cost control
  • Working closely with operational, engineering and commercial teams to keep delivery aligned
  • Ensuring quality, safety, timescales and client expectations are consistently achieved
  • Being a visible leader on site 4 days per week
What we’re looking for
  • Strong project management experience within gas infrastructure
  • NEC contract experience
  • SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safely
  • Proven track record delivering projects from initiation to completion
  • Experience with National Grid, Cadent, SGN or NGN welcomed
  • Comfortable leading HSQ&E, programme, commercials and client engagement
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel/lodge as needed
Contract or Permanent – your choice
  • Permanent: competitive salary package
  • Contract: Outside IR35 for the right individual
