This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior engineering role at a site of national significance — one that’s investing heavily in new projects, modernisation and long-term asset improvements.
You’ll lead a team of electrical specialists responsible for developing and delivering design solutions across major CAPEX programmes and smaller engineering modifications. Your work will directly influence safety, reliability, operability and long-term maintainability across a diverse HV/LV network and a wide range of electrical equipment.

What you’ll be doing- Leading electrical design activities across major projects and plant modifications
- Providing subject matter expertise to ensure designs meet regulatory, safety and operational requirements
- Driving progress through design reviews, HAZOPs and change management
- Working closely with C&I, Mechanical, Civil, Process, Operations, Maintenance and Project Management teams
- Supporting and mentoring engineers, developing capability within the function
- Improving engineering quality, documentation and standardisation
- Solving complex electrical issues to enhance asset reliability and performance
What you’ll bring- Degree-qualified Electrical Engineer (Chartered/IncEng beneficial)
- 10 years in regulated environments (nuclear/chemical/COMAH/heavy industry ideal)
- Leadership experience within engineering teams or multi-disciplinary environments
- Strong grounding in electrical design, standards, technologies and safety
- Ability to influence, collaborate and communicate across technical and operational teams
- Eligibility to achieve required security clearance
