Quality Manager
We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager in Birmingham to provide quality management support across multiple HS2 project teams in Birmingham. This role is ideal for a quality professional with experience in major engineering projects and regulated industries. It offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on some of the UK’s largest infrastructure works.

Responsibilities
  • Provide quality management support to multiple HS2 project teams at varying programme phases.
  • Oversee deliverables management to ensure quality expectations are met, monitored and reported.
  • Review and approve quality-related documentation such as contractors’ quality plans and audit reports on behalf of HS2.
  • Undertake supply chain and contractor audits across different delivery phases.
  • Support route development and remediation works, ensuring compliant completion and handover activities.
  • Establish quality performance requirements for new project teams during design and construction.
  • Support procurement and contractor onboarding activities ahead of project delivery phases.
  • Provide quality performance reporting to inform management decisions.
Must-have Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years’ quality management experience on major engineering projects or regulated industries.
  • Level 5 qualification or higher (degree level).
  • Quality management professional with PCQI or MCQI (chartered) status.
  • Lead Auditor qualified.
  • Proven ability to produce contract-level project quality plans.
  • Skilled in producing and communicating high-level management information on delivery performance.
  • Experienced in conducting structured investigations into quality incidents and driving improvement initiatives.
  • Competent in working with multi-disciplinary teams, including project management, commercial, construction, technical requirements, design, delivery, and testing disciplines.
