We’re looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to deliver major gas infrastructure projects at a key energy site in Bacton, Norfolk. Whether you’re seeking a permanent opportunity or a contract assignment, this role offers the chance to work on strategic Gas Transmission Asset Upgrades. If you have strong experience with gas or compressor station projects, this position could be an excellent fit.

Location and Working Pattern
  • Based in Bacton, Norfolk (Coast Road)
  • 4–5 days per week on site
  • Regular UK travel may be required
Client Overview
Our client is a recognised leader in utility and social infrastructure delivery, providing critical energy, power, and telecoms solutions across the UK. Their focus is on designing and maintaining essential infrastructure for major operators, ensuring reliability and efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end gas infrastructure projects, ensuring delivery against time, cost, and contractual targets
  • Prepare and maintain key documentation such as risk registers, schedules, budgets, and governance approvals
  • Produce clear progress reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Build strong relationships with clients and subcontractors through effective communication and trust
  • Lead and support project meetings, ensuring actions and decisions are accurately recorded
  • Drive financial control through accurate CVRs, project forecasting, and commercial reviews
  • Champion health, safety, and environmental compliance, contributing to SHEQ audits and reviews
  • Oversee subcontractor performance, scope agreements, and ensure quality outcomes throughout the project lifecycle
Must-have Requirements
  • 10 years of project management experience, ideally within energy, utilities, or construction
  • Technical understanding of gas process systems and industry practices
  • Strong knowledge of commercial management principles – including scope, change, and risk controls
  • Familiarity with CDM 2015 regulations
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with multiple stakeholders
  • Full UK driving licence
Nice-to-have Skills
  • Previous hands-on experience delivering gas or compressor station projects
  • Background in regulated utility environments
  • Engineering or construction credentials beneficial
