Job Title Senior Quantity Surveyor
Summary We are recruiting an experienced
Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading construction business on a major data centre project in Norway. This role is ideal for a commercially driven professional with strong expertise in contractual and financial project management. You’ll play a key part in ensuring success while working on high-value complex projects with an international team.
Salary €90,000 per year
Location and Working Pattern Norway – On-site
Client Overview Our client is an established engineering and construction organisation, recognised for delivering innovative projects worldwide.
Responsibilities- Take ownership of the commercial strategy and ensure compliance across all contracts
- Lead procurement activities including tenders, subcontract selection and order management
- Prepare and present cash flow forecasts, cost projections and valuations
- Manage and agree on variations and final accounts in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate project risk and opportunity registers
- Handle dispute resolution, claims preparation, and stakeholder representation
- Provide guidance and mentorship to Quantity Surveyors and Assistant Quantity Surveyors
- Ensure accurate commercial and contractual reporting to senior management
Must-have Requirements- Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
- Proven experience with design and build contracts, high-value projects and complex frameworks
- Strong commercial acumen and cost management expertise
- Ability to interpret and apply contract law and manage contractual risks
- Proficiency in procurement management and financial reporting
- Training in dispute resolution and contract law
- Strong leadership and communication skills
Nice-to-have Skills- Chartered membership of RICS, CIOB or an equivalent body
- Experience with NEC or JCT forms
- Continuous professional development in commercial management and industry trends
