​Planner

A planner coordinates the organisation and scheduling of work activities to ensure that project or work delivery needs are effectively forecasted and planned to meet business goals.

Planners are required across a range of industry sectors, in particular where there are large-scale projects with several milestones to achieve delivery. An important part of the role is ensuring paperwork and documentation is kept up-to-date, typically including specifications and drawings. A planner may also be required to liaise with suppliers and other stakeholders, manage the production control process and setting up operation schedules.

Often temporary contract positions, Planners are an important part of the planning and delivery stages of a business’s operations. Due to the technical competency of the role, previous experience is usually required.
