We have a fantastic opportunity for an Electrical Supervisor to join the team within the North East to support the construction of an advanced car battery gigafactory at the International Advanced Manufacturing Park (IAMP) in Sunderland.  With a strong pipeline of work our client is able to offer these roles on a permanent basis. The opportunity to work on a project of this scale is rarely seen in the North East and offers candidates a chance to progress their careers within an emerging construction market. 
Reporting into the Project Manager, this role will be accountable for delivery of the electrical elements of the project and provide the resources required for natural growth in the region. 
Duties will include:
• Support the Project Manager/Engineers in the pre-construction phase by obtaining quotes from sub-contractors for plant and materials. Reviewing and appraising to ensure they comply with the specification. Identifying re-engineering solutions.
• Ensure areas of responsibility allocated to you by the Project Manager are delivered on time, within budget to agreed standards.
• Identify risks and ensure mitigation measures are put in place.
• Effectively manage sub-contractors for certain packages on site, containment, lighting and small power, CCTV, access and data, fire alarms/suppression, sprinklers 66kVA – 11kVA. 
• Ensure everyone reporting to yourself has clear roles and responsibilities
• Support Project Manager/ Site Engineers with project budget and costs are managed effectively


To be successful in this role you will be qualified as an Electrical Supervisor with approximately 3 years’ experience in a project engineering role with a building services contractor. Be able to work under guidance of a Project Manager and have responsibility for successful completion of tasks.

Required Experience: 
Relevant qualifications…. i.e.. SSSTS certification and JIB/ECS card 
Adapts to flexible and changing schedules
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written 
Ability to prioritise multiple business unit needs, tasks, projects, and demands
