NRL are currently looking for a Supervisor for a site in Southampton 

 
Must have: 

Experience in project delivery, including estimating, quoting, and managing multidisciplinary Low Voltage projects. 

Knowledge on how the SSEN Low Voltage Network Operates  

Certified NRSWA Supervisor  

Understanding of Construction Design Management (CDM) and industry best practices. 

SMSTS qualification 

Strong communication, time management, and people management skills. 

Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects. 

Organisational skills for planning and executing works 

Problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 

Experienced in office 365 applications 

Full driving licence 


As a Supervisor, you will lead a team of up to 10 Operatives, including subcontractors, ensuring that all projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Your team may include Traffic Management Operatives, LV Live Jointers, and Civils Operatives, all working on Low Voltage projects. 

Your role will involve direct customer interaction, project scoping, quoting, and the delivery of projects. The project consists of a full turnkey solution for the design and build covering Planned activities inclusive of design, planning, excavations, jointing and reinstatement, will be assisting our client with all Capital replacement on LV projects inclusive of linkbox installations.  

In a  typical day, you could expect to be; 

  • Championing a positive health and safety culture and ensuring compliance, including developing SHE plans and reporting incidents. 

  • Delivering work to project specifications and timescales. 

  • Acting as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring satisfaction and identifying opportunities. 

  • Managing materials, logistics, and optimising labour resources for efficient project delivery. 

  • Representing the company on-site, attending meetings, and briefing teams on project requirements. 

  • Ensuring accurate project documentation, managing variations, and supporting smooth project handovers. 

  • Conducting quality checks, supervising operatives and contractors, and providing on-the-job training. 

 
Duration: 

Initially 3 months – could go longer term 

Working hours: 

45 hours – overtime available
