NRL is delighted to be recruiting a Quality Management Lead on behalf of our industry-leading client, supporting a major nuclear infrastructure project. This is a high-impact, career-defining role within one of the UK's most significant energy programmes. What You’ll Be Doing:
As Quality Management Lead, you will be a vital part of the Quality Department, overseeing and enhancing quality assurance across a wide portfolio of works. Your responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing, approving, and monitoring Contractors’ Quality Assurance Plans (CQAPs) to ensure compliance and quality throughout the supply chain.
- Identifying audit requirements, coordinating with Supply Chain Auditors, and supporting timely resolution of findings.
- Preparing and implementing Project Quality Control Plans (PQCPs) for individual contracts.
- Ensuring contractual quality requirements are effectively deployed – including General Quality Assurance Specification (GQAS), Life Time Quality Records (LTQR) strategies, Inspection & Test Plans, and Quality Release Certificates.
- Guiding contractors on quality arrangements and supporting their LTQR partitioning and delivery strategies.
- Leading LTQR reviews and promoting progressive submission of records from contractors.
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and contracted inspection bodies.
- Reporting quality metrics in line with project expectations and escalating issues where necessary.
What You’ll Need:
- HNC/HND or a degree in a relevant technical or engineering field.
- Demonstrated leadership in quality assurance/control within the nuclear or other highly regulated industries.
- Broad experience in developing and implementing quality solutions at project level.
- Excellent stakeholder management and issue resolution capabilities.
- A strategic, innovative mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Membership (or working towards) of the Chartered Quality Institute and Chartered Quality Professional status.
- Experience with supplier management and commercial oversight.
