Own Quality. Drive Performance.
We’re recruiting a Supply Chain Project Quality Engineer to join a leading engineering business based in Chorley. This is a permanent role with a 4-day working week—giving you more time for life outside of work, without compromising on career impact.
This is your opportunity to take the lead on supplier quality, drive performance across complex work packages, and ensure excellence is delivered—right first time.
This is your chance to:
Be the quality voice in major engineering projects – where your decisions shape delivery outcomes.
Take ownership of subcontractor quality – from inspection and certification to lifetime records and compliance.
Work across sectors including nuclear and manufacturing – with a business that values precision and performance.
Enjoy a 4-day working week – with full-time pay and a better work-life balance.
Join a values-led team – where your expertise is recognised, and your development is supported.
Your Role:
You’ll be the go-to for all things quality across subcontracted work packages. From managing third-party inspections and reviewing technical documentation to supporting root cause investigations and driving continuous improvement—you’ll be embedded in project delivery from day one.
You’ll work closely with project managers, supply chain, and clients to ensure quality standards are met, risks are managed, and every deliverable is traceable, certifiable, and compliant.
You’ll need to bring:
5+ years’ experience in a quality or inspection role
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and supplier quality assurance
Experience in manufacturing, material processing, or nuclear sectors
Confidence with engineering drawings, technical specs, and traceability
A proactive, detail-driven mindset – with the ability to lead from the front
Bonus points for:
CQI membership or ISO 9001 auditor status
SC clearance (or willingness to obtain)
Experience across the full project lifecycle
Familiarity with P6 and commercial awareness
Join a team where quality isn’t just a checkbox—it’s a culture.
Apply now and take the lead in delivering excellence, with the balance of a 4-day week and the security of a permanent role.
