Summary

We’re looking for an experienced Bid Writer to join our client’s team in Dublin, Ireland. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in technical writing and excellent attention to detail, who enjoys crafting compelling proposals that win projects. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to produce high-quality bid submissions that meet client and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Write, compile, and format bid documents ensuring compliance with client requirements.
• Develop tailored content for each project, incorporating timelines, costs, and quality measures.
• Work collaboratively with project teams to gather technical and commercial input.
• Research market trends, project-specific conditions, and competitor activity to enhance bid competitiveness.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate quotations and technical data.
• Review and proofread all submissions for clarity, consistency, and compliance.
• Ensure legal, regulatory, and procedural compliance of bid materials.

 

Must-have Requirements

• Relevant third-level qualification (e.g., Journalism, English, Creative Writing).
• Strong writing, editing, and technical communication skills.
• High level of organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to analyse and interpret technical information effectively.

 

Nice-to-have Skills

• Previous experience in bid writing or a similar role within the civil engineering or construction sector.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
