This Cost Manager role offers the chance to take a long‑term position on one of the UK’s most high‑profile nuclear programmes, supporting delivery at Sizewell C while maintaining a genuinely workable hybrid arrangement.

You’ll be joining a well‑established PMO environment where cost control, insight and influence genuinely matter. This is not a reporting‑only role — you’ll be close to the project teams, shaping decisions, improving visibility and helping major infrastructure projects stay on track.

The working pattern is designed to be sustainable. You’ll typically be on site at Sizewell 2–3 days every other week, with the remainder worked remotely or from office, giving you exposure to the project without being tied to site full‑time.

What you’ll be doing

  • Owning cost performance reporting across complex nuclear projects
  • Supporting project teams with accurate, timely cost submissions
  • Tracking actuals against baseline and identifying trends early
  • Delivering earned value analysis and clear performance insight
  • Supporting forecasting, budgeting and cost re‑baselining activity
  • Working closely with commercial and finance teams to ensure accuracy
  • Providing confidence in the numbers used for senior decision‑making

What this role gives you

  • A permanent position on a nationally significant nuclear programme
  • Long‑term career stability in a growing, future‑focused sector
  • A hybrid working model that respects work–life balance
  • Exposure to complex, high‑value infrastructure delivery
  • Clear scope to develop your project controls and cost management expertise
  • A collaborative, professional environment where your input is valued

What you’ll bring

  • Experience in cost management or project controls on major programmes
  • Strong understanding of cost control, forecasting and performance reporting
  • Confidence working with project, commercial and finance stakeholders
  • High attention to detail with the ability to explain data clearly
  • Background in regulated environments such as nuclear, energy or infrastructure (preferred)

This role suits a Cost Manager who wants long‑term security, meaningful work and a seat at the table on one of the UK’s most important energy programmes — without sacrificing flexibility.
