We’re looking for an experienced ICT Supervisor to join a project based in Dagenham for an anticipated duration of around six months. This position is well-suited for someone with solid experience supervising ICT installations and strong knowledge of structured cabling within critical environments. It’s an excellent opportunity to lead subcontractors and ensure quality standards are met across a complex ICT infrastructure project.
Location and Working Pattern- Dagenham – on-site
- Project duration: Approximately 6 months
- Start date: In around 4 weeks (earlier start possible)
Responsibilities- Supervise ICT installation works and manage specialist subcontractors to deliver against programme, quality requirements and client expectations.
- Monitor and enforce subcontractor compliance with Health & Safety legislation, site rules, RAMS and safe systems of work.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits, identifying non-conformances and driving corrective actions.
- Ensure installations comply with project specifications, manufacturer requirements, ISO/TIA/BICSI standards and client standards.
- Monitor installation quality and provide oversight of all ICT infrastructure elements including structured cabling, containment, network racks, Wi-Fi and fibre/copper systems.
- Review ICT testing and commissioning processes, assessing test results, identifying defects and ensuring completion of QA requirements.
- Support preparation and handover of O&M documentation, including as-built drawings, commissioning records and test results.
- Coordinate effectively with clients, principal contractors, subcontractors and project teams to maintain smooth project execution.
Must-have Requirements- Proven experience supervising ICT installation works in live or mission-critical environments (preferably data centres).
- Strong understanding of ICT infrastructure installation, including structured cabling, containment, Wi-Fi and fibre/copper systems.
- Knowledge of ICT testing and commissioning processes.
- Ability to lead and manage subcontractor teams effectively.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Nice-to-have Skills- CNIDP (Certified Network Infrastructure Design Professional) or similar accreditation.
- Experience compiling comprehensive O&M documentation.
