Mechanical Quantity Surveyor


Summary We’re seeking an experienced Mechanical Quantity Surveyor for a major construction project based in Frankfurt, Germany. This role is perfect for professionals skilled in procurement, tendering, and contract management who want to contribute to a high-profile development. You’ll join a collaborative team and play a central role in delivering a complex, large-scale project over an initial 12-month period.

Client Overview
Our client is a leading global organisation providing advanced engineering, project management, and construction solutions across complex infrastructure and industrial sectors.


Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing and implementing tendering procedures and contract arrangements
  • Assemble and prepare comprehensive tender packages
  • Create pricing documents and detailed Bills of Quantities (BoQs)
  • Manage the tendering process with key stakeholders across all phases
  • Assess tender submissions and prepare recommendations for award
  • Conduct tender clarifications and lead negotiations with bidders
  • Draft and deliver tender evaluation reports and recommendations
  • Support and finalise contract agreements in line with governance requirements
  • Coordinate with design teams to validate completeness of information for tender
  • Identify and mitigate commercial risks during procurement
  • Maintain full documentation and audit trails throughout the process
  • Administer supplier contracts during construction phases

Must-have Requirements
  • Proven expertise as a Mechanical Quantity Surveyor on large-scale construction projects
  • In-depth knowledge of tendering processes, BoQs, and procurement governance
  • Strong negotiation abilities and risk management skills
  • Competence in producing clear documentation and cost schedules
  • Full commitment to working on-site in Frankfurt

Nice-to-have Skills
  • Previous experience in mechanical services for data centres or technical environments
  • Familiarity with European procurement standards and regulations
  • Understanding of cost management software and related tools
