We’re looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a leading construction business, supporting major projects in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong commercial experience who enjoys delivering projects on time and within budget. Client Overview
Our client is a well-established construction and engineering group, delivering large-scale projects across multiple sectors with a reputation for quality and innovation.


Responsibilities
  • Prepare tenders, analyse and select subcontractors, and negotiate subcontract orders.
  • Manage financial and commercial aspects of subcontractors to final account completion.
  • Maintain site records and document control.
  • Record site measurements and assist with forecasts, targets and contract value reconciliations.
  • Prepare valuations and variations, ensuring accurate documentation throughout.
  • Submit updated projected final accounts in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with site management to influence and challenge commercial matters.
  • Implement commercial strategy and protect client’s contractual entitlements.
  • Participate in contract value reviews and assess risks and opportunities.
  • Engage in cash management activities to ensure positive cash flow.
  • Supervise and oversee Assistant and Trainee Quantity Surveyors, reviewing their work.
  • Ensure clear, accurate communication and effectively utilise technology platforms.


Must-have Requirements
  • Degree-level education and working towards professional accreditation.
  • 2-day safety appreciation course including contract and commercial awareness.
  • CIOB membership or eligibility.


Nice-to-have Skills
  • Experience with larger Design and Build contracts.
  • Knowledge of claims and dispute resolution.
  • Understanding of contract law.
  • Experience with contracts above € / £15m.
  • Familiarity with controlling traditional contracts.
