Senior Civil Engineer – Onshore Wind


Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to support major onshore wind projects in Oslo, Norway. This position is suited to professionals with a strong background in design engineering and wind farm infrastructure. Location and Working Pattern
Oslo, Norway – On-site. Applicants must hold the right to work in Europe; UK citizens with work eligibility may be considered.

Our client delivers large-scale onshore wind projects across Europe and is recognised as a key player in the renewable energy market.


Responsibilities

• Take lead responsibility for civil design across multiple wind farm developments in Norway.
• Manage the design of site infrastructure including haul roads, foundations, substations, and drainage systems.
• Interpret geotechnical data and incorporate findings into engineering designs.
• Provide technical reviews of calculations, drawings, and design documentation.
• Support and mentor less experienced engineers.
• Collaborate with colleagues from electrical, planning, and environmental disciplines.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with quality requirements during construction.
• Oversee project progress in line with schedule and cost parameters.

Must-have Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or similar.
• Chartered or pursuing chartered status through ICE (or equivalent).
• At least 10 years of civil engineering experience, specifically in onshore wind.
• Demonstrated ability to manage the design and delivery of wind farm infrastructure.
• Ability to work in Norway with appropriate employment eligibility.

Nice-to-have Skills

• Understanding of Norwegian permitting processes and environmental regulations.
• Experience communicating with regulatory authorities and stakeholders.
