About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Electrically biased EHS Advisor to join our clients team on a major infrastructure project. This is a site-based role where you will be the first point of contact for all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) matters within your designated scope of works. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with EHS standards, supporting operational teams, and promoting a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits
- Support the development and implementation of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Actively intervene and report when unsafe practices are observed.
- Deliver EHS inductions, toolbox talks, and briefings.
- Assist in emergency preparedness planning and drills.
- Lead or support incident investigations and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with site-specific EHS plans and procedures.
- Liaise with contractors and stakeholders to ensure coordinated EHS efforts.
- Promote and model adherence to Life Saving Rules and Zero Harm initiatives.
- NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years of EHS experience on large-scale construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and construction site practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Current CCNSG Safety Passport (or willingness to obtain post-offer).
- ISO45001 Internal Auditor certification.
- First Aid at Work qualification.
- Experience in large electrical installations.
- Recognised training in incident investigation, manual handling, PASMA, or IPAF.
