About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Electrically biased EHS Advisor to join our clients team on a major infrastructure project. This is a site-based role where you will be the first point of contact for all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) matters within your designated scope of works. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with EHS standards, supporting operational teams, and promoting a strong safety culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits
  • Support the development and implementation of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
  • Actively intervene and report when unsafe practices are observed.
  • Deliver EHS inductions, toolbox talks, and briefings.
  • Assist in emergency preparedness planning and drills.
  • Lead or support incident investigations and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with site-specific EHS plans and procedures.
  • Liaise with contractors and stakeholders to ensure coordinated EHS efforts.
  • Promote and model adherence to Life Saving Rules and Zero Harm initiatives.
Essential Requirements
  • NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5 years of EHS experience on large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and construction site practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Current CCNSG Safety Passport (or willingness to obtain post-offer).
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
  • ISO45001 Internal Auditor certification.
  • First Aid at Work qualification.
  • Experience in large electrical installations.
  • Recognised training in incident investigation, manual handling, PASMA, or IPAF.
