NRL are currently recruiting for an Integration Architect to work remotely alongside a global engineering client of ours on a contract basis.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Identifies, publishes and communicates strategic technology standards, frameworks, principles and roadmaps to be used throughout the Digital programme to guide technology decisions and leverage efficiency opportunities. Drives design for a secure, efficient, and adaptable future state model.

  • Researches and recommends opportunities to adopt new technologies. Analyses the impact of implementing new technologies into the IT infrastructure. Proactively researches IT enterprise architecture best practices and methodologies and determines relevancy to and business organizations. Participates in the life cycle planning of existing IT assets.

  • Assists Solution Architects, Cloud Infrastructure Architects, and Data Architects in matching technology services to specific business service and application development projects to ensure consistent use throughout the enterprise. Identifies and leverages opportunities across programme to ensure a consistent and efficient integration framework.

  • Educates and guides engineers in the vision and use cases of specific solutions within the Integration Architecture portfolio of design patterns.

  • Use business requirements to identify, evaluate and present alternative design solutions which meet customer needs

  • Work to define Integration technology standards, guidelines and frameworks

  • Analyses trade-offs associated with granting exceptions and waivers to technology and process standards

  • Provide application and analytic integration expertise to support the programme in the delivery of enterprise Azure landscape for a major construction programme

  • Collaborate with business analyst, application, network, and cyber teams to achieve ensure requirements are reflected appropriately in the integration designs within the time frames defined

  • You will be involved with enterprise-level Azure-centric projects where you will design and deploy integrations environments and resources.

  • You will be part of the deployment, testing, and implementation of the integrations

  • You will architect application and server integrations using tools like Azure DevOps, Pipeline, API, Azure Data Factory

  • You will work closely with internal and external teams to ensure requirements are reflected appropriately in the Azure design

  • Participate in major technical decisions, develops technical proposals that consider alternatives and business case, gain needed institution approvals, and work effectively across departmental organizations gaining consensus of stakeholders.

  • Lead delivery of large and complex API solutions

  • Coordinate with Customer, Partner teams across geography to ensure the desired solution outcome through the realization of API roadmap, strategy, and solution

  • Responsible for Design, implementation, test, and deploy APIs using the latest technologies and best practices

  • Implement API management

  • Communicate Architectural Technical risks, issues, challenges

  • Document Architectural approach, Technical guideline, design

  • Participate in thought leadership, Technical Governance

  • Reviewing and understanding Requirements and Use Cases.

  • Reviewing and understanding business application data base structures

  • Defining the technical solution to deliver all required data to the business applications stack



Role Requirements:

  • Multiple examples of leading integration, and data architectures as a part of overall digital transformation programmes

  • Demonstrable experience with Microsoft Azure integration design patterns and well architected solutions

  • Strong foundation in software development and configuration life cycles, experience with Azure DevOps, DevOps tools and processes, and other automation tools/platforms.

  • Demonstrable experience of working to tight schedules and complex working environments.

  • Team player with the ability to work closely with peers and within dispersed project teams

  • A strong technical background in topics relevant to this role such as API design, cloud software development, data storage patterns schemas, and microservice serverless oriented architectures

  • Well-versed in system integration design and development within the Microsoft technology stack

  • Experience working in micro-service architectures

  • Expertise in Azure solution architecture and services Azure Integration services C, REST APIs, Functions, Logic Apps Service Bus, EventHub, API Management, Application Insights, Azure monitor

  • Previous experience with Azure data services SQL, Data lake, Azure data factory Web Services REST, JSON, XML, XSLT, Connectors, EDI Azure DevOps dashboards, Pipelines, CICD

  • Experience with working with integrated teams requiring collaboration and customer relationships.

  • Detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and self-sufficient.

  • Strong business writing and verbal communication skills.

  • Document Management System expertise

  • Demonstrates collaborative behaviours and is customer oriented
