About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and driven ITS Engineer to join a dynamic team delivering cutting-edge Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and Traffic Signal projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead design initiatives, manage resources, and contribute to the development of smart, sustainable transport infrastructure across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and delivery of ITS and Traffic Signal projects
Manage technical excellence and ensure safety in all design activities
Coordinate resource input, forecasting, and delivery to meet programme and budget targets
Liaise with clients and internal teams to support project growth and collaboration
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation, and promote a strong safety culture
Provide mentorship and leadership to junior engineers and design teams
Maintain high standards of documentation and reporting throughout the project lifecycle
Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience in the design and management of ITS or Traffic Signal projects
Strong understanding of design standards and industry best practices
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
Demonstrated ability to lead design teams and work independently
Experience in financial management and project control
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
Professional Membership of a recognised industry Institute or Institution (e.g., IET, CIHT, ICE)
Relevant degree or equivalent experience in Civil Engineering, Transport Engineering, or related discipline
