🔧 Plant Operator – Industrial Gases 
📍 Location: Bardon, Leicestershire 
🕒 Full-Time | Shift-Based
🚛 Forklift Licence Required

Are you a safety-conscious, hands-on individual with experience in operational or engineering environments? We’re looking for a Production Operative to join our team at the Bardon depot, supporting the safe and efficient filling, handling, and inspection of gas cylinders in line with national safety and quality standards.
🔍 Key Responsibilities Filling & Loading Operations
  • Operate cryogenic and non-cryogenic pumps and electrical motors
  • Safely move, couple, and fill cylinders; load them into pallets
  • Use a forklift truck to manage loading activities
  • Complete all process documentation clearly and accurately
Product Quality & Compliance
  • Perform analytical checks on starting and finished products
  • Ensure all products meet required specifications
  • Raise any issues affecting product purity or manufacturing capability
Depot & Cylinder Management
  • Maintain high production standards to prevent contamination
  • Inspect, clean, paint, label, and carry out minor repairs on cylinders
  • Report operational faults and ensure systems run efficiently
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
  • Follow all legal and corporate safety standards
  • Use PPE in designated zones and report unsafe conditions
  • Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility
Quality Assurance
  • Complete all quality documentation and calibration checks
  • Report any product that fails to meet specification
✅ What We’re Looking For
  • Operational or engineering background in a safety-focused industry
  • Valid forklift truck licence and safe driving experience
  • Knowledge of corporate safety procedures and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice)
  • Familiarity with GMB National Working Agreement and GMA guidelines is a plus
