The NRL Group are currently looking for an experienced Piping Construction Supervisor to deliver a significant work package on a major power generation construction project in the South West.
What will the role consist of?
- Supervision of piping installation works carried out on construction project, ensuring the highest quality of workmanship and adherence to the site quality assurance programme by relevant subcontractors.
- Management and direction of subcontractors to ensure relevant piping discipline works are carried out on time and within budget.
- Supports site management and discipline leads with input into the piping discipline installation strategy.
- Ensuring subcontract partners adhere to site health, safety and environmental requirements.
- Ensure the completion of any required safety documentation required for tasks undertaken at any time, and ensure those involved understand them clearly.
- Completion and submission of various reports, consisting of, but not limited to; timesheets, toolbox talks, daily hazard assessments, work orders.
- Action to ensure all subcontractor piping installation resources maintain all work areas in safe and clean condition and all installed materials are adequately preserved and protected.
- Maintain a comprehensive and detailed logbook of all relevant events.
- Maintain all records of installation progress within the scope of the discipline works.
- Preparation and submittal of detailed construction reports to site management.
- Assist with and provide input to the Construction Monitoring System (CMS).
- Liaise with Engineering on all engineering documentation required for site erection of the discipline work.
- Coordination for access to all areas within the scope of the discipline works.

What we’re looking for:
- Prior experience managing major construction projects/ scope of works in the power generation or other similar industry.
- Degree qualified or equivalent experience in mechanical piping or construction engineering
- Excellent communication skills.
- IT skills including good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
